Adam Lane began writing songs on acoustic guitar while studying in Oxford, England during the summer of 1995. Once back in Chapel Hill, NC, he quickly recorded Six from the Ground Up, a six song EP Cassette recorded under the moniker The Casey Andrews Project. In the late ‘90s, Adam played acoustic shows in the Chapel Hill area, as well as Zakk’s Coffeehouse in Murfreesboro, NC, and Swampfest in his home town of Gatesville, NC. Adam played Swampfest annually from 1995 to 1999, the last three with his friend, musician Jeff Mullins, who often accompanied Adam on acoustic lead guitar and backing vocals.
