Coleslaw came to be when longtime friends Chis Knotts and Jody Boyce met veteran bass player, Daryl White, up in Virginia around the Claytor Lake area. While picking some tunes by a bonfire, the trio realized quickly that there was chemistry in the way they played together. Drummer Stephen Riddle, a longtime friend of Chris and Jody, was soon incorporated as the 4th ingredient to the Coleslaw mix.
