I was introduced to music by a classically trained soprano and pianist mother. I listened to my parent’s collection of folk music from the 60′s including Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. I also enjoyed popular radio hits and Jerry Jeff Walker’s annual performance at Austin College (Sherman, Tx.) in which he would get so soused by the second show, he would fall off the stage. I always went to the first show.
I continue to be inspired and encouraged by all my wonderful friends including music accompanists, David McKnight, and Penny Chen, friends, Hugh Crisswell and Ed Kenestrick and girlfriend, Linda Ford, my father and sister and all the Hootenanny Holigans who continue to encourage me to “get out there!”
