Hailing from the Washington, DC area, Doug found inspiration at an early age in the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. He picked up the guitar at age 12, after enduring a string of uninspiring piano lessons. Following a heavy dose of blues and the commensurate classic rock during his teen years, Doug’s curiosity and tastes quickly matured to encompass diverse styles from country, folk, rock, jazz, world, progressive, and all points in between
