Jamrock was founded in 1995 through the desire of a few Jamaicans to hear AUTHENTIC reggae music.
There are several reggae bands in the Triangle area, but they fall short of delivering true
“yard style” reggae rhythms, reggae standards and an authentic Jamaican sound, concentrating
instead on a “roots” type reggae that has more political and religious overtones.
