Kurtzweil is a Raleigh, NC based 4-piece, playing in between the genres of indie and folk rock.
Kurtzweil started as singer-songwriter Katie Cooper (then Katie Kurtzweil), playing solo shows in various bars and clubs around Europe. After moving state-side, she and Adam Cooper began co-songwriting and performing in various venues around Raleigh as an acoustic duo. In April 2013, they flew out to LA to record their self-titled EP with Josh Igloo Monroy and Eric Denniston. The EP was released in February 2014, and is gaining in popularity.
