The OTG Band is a classic rock cover & party band based out of Clayton, NC. The band was founded in 2007 When Jody, Richard, and Greg met at a car dealership where they worked.They were originally called “The Wrenches” because they worked in the service department, the band evolved into OTG “Over the Garage” named for the practice space located over the top of Jody’s garage. It started out as a joke when asked if we were a garage band. The response was “actually, we practice over the garage” The practice space has since moved down into the garage as it was a lot of trouble moving everything up and down the stairs anytime we played out.
Our catalog of music spans many decades and styles including classic rock, hard rock, old R&B, southern rock, blues and even some rockin’ country music. It has always been our desire to bring to you the best show possible, playing songs you want to hear and dance to. Most of all, we want to have fun!
There is still a feeling of family that shows in the music. Sunday band rehearsals are full of humor and laughter as well as hard work, usually ending with a family supper. The band’s love for one another, love of the music, and love of laughter carry into our shows. One never knows what’s going to happen between songs!
A few months ago Richard came back to the band to take over the bass guitar role and Phil switched back to guitar which was his first love. Phil has been with the band for over three years now and is a very talented musician and artist. Jody, Greg, Phil, and Richard are best friends and brothers. It shows in the music.

The OTG Band has its own full PA system, professional equipment, and musical instruments. We are ready to play for you whether in a club setting, outdoor party, or whatever your needs may be.
