The Pea Pickin’ Hearts are an Americana/Country duo influenced by the Appalachian sounds of the 1940s & 50s and call Gatlinburg, TN their home. The name “Pea Pickin’ Hearts” is a reference to none other than Tennessee Ernie Ford’s famous line “Bless your pea pickin’ heart” –a Southern euphemism for ‘simple & country’. Rachel & Jon have a lot of odd connections to TN Ernie, and the name is a tribute to their history (married 16 years) and their Tennessee home.
