A life-long student of guitar, Russ Corvey studied arranging and composition at Berklee College of Music before forming the popular smooth jazz act Indigo City. He toured nationally in support of 1998′s Samba Electrique CD, performed at Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival and on Norwegian Cruise Lines 2000 All-Star Smooth Jazz Cruise along with Kirk Whalum, The Rippingtons, Ken Navarro and others. Russ has composed and recorded three contemporary jazz albums and in 2002 composed a full length contemporary ballet, “Arriving in Indigo City”.
