“The Blenders” are a band from Raleigh NC, formed from members of local area bands such as; “The Groove Daddy’s”, and “Twist of Fate”. Out front singing lead vocals and playing electric acoustic is the lovely Ann Adams. Ann has been gigging solo for years and now has meshed her musicianship with a band for the first time. The whole band is a mix of talented musicians with very diverse influences in music. That’s what makes this band different from anything else in the Triangle area. By bringing so many different types of music together, it makes for a magical “Blend”, hence the name, “The Blenders”. The drummer, Bob Allen, plays a funky/jazzy style of drums and percussion which blends well with the Bass player, Mark Peebles’, blues/ rock style. This rhythm section allows Joe Weeks to let his Paul Reed Smith Guitar sing so sweetly. With Ray Hall’s strong riffs and slide guitar added to the mix, the ensemble is complete. Ann’s strong vocals, along with Mark’s Raspy voice give The Blenders a unique sound. This makes for wonderful harmonies that set them apart from other bands.
