The Unlikely Hero Band

Pop, Punk, Rock

The Unlikely Hero is a four-piece pop punk band from Washington, DC comprised of brothers Philip and David Washington, Jesse Reyes, and Zachary Baturin. Drawing on diverse influences from Paramore to folk singer Passenger the group combines pop and rock musical elements with purposeful, passionate lyrics and a punk rock ideology. The Unlikely Hero is described as – Combining the best of the coffee shop and the rock club, producing a feeling akin to James Taylor playing with Fall Out Boy as his backup band.
The members of The Unlikely Hero formed in July 2013, doing small weekend tours and recording in the studio. The band has opened for national acts like The Dangerous Summer and Smile Empty Soul, and is currently touring the East Coast. They have also released a new music video on YouTube for their single The Kid Who Never Did Anything Right, off their debut EP to be released in Spring 2014. They will be performing an acoustic set.
