The Wiley Fosters

Rock, Rock & Roll, Country

The Wiley Fosters formed in 2010. They are named in tribute to their great friend Mr Tater The Music Maker (née Foster Wiley) of Clarksdale, Mississippi. The Wiley Fosters began as the house band at Zog’s Pool Hall in Chapel Hill, building up their set and their sound. Since 2014, they have been in residency at Mystery Brewing Company Public House in Hillsborough, NC.
The Wiley Fosters try and live up to the example that the real Foster Wiley set by always having new members, new instrumentation, and new songs. As Mr. Tater famously said in his “Music Maker” documentary, “I make people happy… and I never play the same song twice neither.”
The Wiley Fosters don’t charge tickets at the door. The Wiley Fosters aren’t trying to sell you music. The Wiley Fosters want to make you dance and have a good time. Check it in, check it out!
The band is comprised of William Dawson, Vernon Little, Louis Landry, Hugh Crumley and The King Of Ashton Horns: Tim Smith, Stephen Cowles, Danny Grewen, Jeremy Boomhower and Evan Atherton. The note alumnus Brad Porter and also other Fosters including Curtis Eller, Katharine Whalen, Tonya Lamm, Ormon Grimsby, Carol Bales, John Clark, Nathan Golub, Jonathan Durlam, Chris Gruneberg, and Tom Merrigan.
