Wesley Wolfe is a home recording enthusiast, he has released several records where the latest one “Numbskull” will be out in May.
This album will take you on a journey in 60´s pop, 90´s Britrock and post-rock. It´s like having The Kinks on a picnic with Oasis in Weezer´s backyard, the production is pretty naked but it suits the music.
Wesley focus on catchy melodies which is the centre of each song, I think it´s charming with a cheap sounding drummachine on “Jesus eyes” but the best tracks are without doubt the first two, “Lost in my daydreams” and “Cloud cuckoo”. The mix of acoustic and noisy distorted guitars is really cool.
A good album that takes a few spins to get into.
