Aaron Hill is a saxophonist and educator living in Durham, NC.  Hill completed undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii, and post graduate studies right here in Durham at North Carolina Central University.  Having shared the stage with the likes of Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Chaka Kahn, he brings a wide variety of influences to his performance.  One of the most sought after musicians in the local scene, Hill can be found performing with the Mint Julep Jazz Band, Boneslinger, the Eric Hirsch quartet and a wide variety of other musicians in the area.

In this newly formed trio project, Hill will be assisted by accomplished local musicians in bassist Jason Foureman and drummer Aaron Tucker.  Foureman is a native to Durham and is on faculty at the University of North Carolina as a professor of jazz bass.  Tucker is local to Cary, North Carolina where he is a freelance educator, arranger, and performer.  The Aaron Hill trio will explore the possibilities of the trio sound without a chordal instrument.  Drawing influences ranging from Sonny Rollins to Kenny Garret, the Aaron Hill trio hopes to bring their own twist to standards and modern compositions alike.
