Robert Bohinski, guitar, and Matt Laird, violin, are current music education majors at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Bohinski began playing guitar at the age of 12, initially inspired by the playing of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and later picked up instruments including banjo, saxophone, and fiddle. Laird began studying classical violin at the age of 6, and at the age of 10 began playing bass guitar and guitar. With a diverse background, Bohinski and Laird are very active gigging musicians within the jazz, classical, blues, and old time music scene in North Carolina, performing at venues such as Sola Coffee Cafe, Vecino Brewing Co, weddings, and various other private events. In addition to being experienced performers, Bohinski and Laird are passionate and innovative educators striving to be leaders in the music education community and share their love of music with students.
