One of the values that Beyú Caffé  holds dear is community — not just types of people, but ages of people as well. With this in mind, we are thrilled to be starting Beyú Jazz Jam Playhouse featuring the Kobie Watkins Group every Wednesday evening at 7pm.

Beyú Jazz Jam Playhouse will begin with Youth Jazz Jammers, ages 8-18, who will play 7pm to 8pm. Youth are encouraged to bring a song they would like to play or their own ensemble piece. This portion of the evening is made for families, so come out with your kids and show them the importance of music in their lives. We are providing a 50% discount on selected menu items for high school and college students.

After the Youth Jazz Jammers, Kobie will continue the night with the College to Pro Jazz Jam from 8:30 to 10pm. This second set is geared towards adult musicians who are working towards perfecting their craft or just feel like jamming. This format gives musicians access to a real stage and a real audience. It also gives the near and dear Beyú regulars a chance to hear the newest up and coming Durham jazz stars before they hit it big.
